John Small Elementary School serves nearly 650 students in grades four and five living in and around the city of Washington, North Carolina. John Small School is the newest school building in Beaufort County. The school was completed in May of 2008. The new John Small School campus consists of one building with three wings and a large grassy area for student recreation. The school is part of an Educational Complex that houses both John Small School and PS Jones Middle School.
